Rachael Ragozzino, DVM

Dr. Ragozzino was born in Schenectady, NY. After graduating from Guilderland High School, she continued her education at St. Lawrence University in Canton, NY. From New York, Dr. Ragozzino traveled to Grenada where she attended St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine. She completed her Veterinary Degree at North Carolina State University. Dr. Ragozzino’s heart belongs to a 6 year old Grenadian Pothound named “Squishy” who she adopted while in Grenada.

Throughout Dr. Ragozzino’s career, she has experienced several roles in the veterinary field from an Animal Care Technician while in High School to Technician’s Assistant during College and Veterinary Assistant while attending Vet School; becoming a Veterinarian in 2011. Dr. Ragozzino’s experience in multiple veterinary positions is what has made her the compassionate and talented Veterinarian she is today.

Dr. Ragozzino’s professional passion includes surgery and oncology. Her goal is to utilize digital medicine at her technologically advanced practice to offer progressive medicine to provide the best care possible for your pet. In addition to her love for small companion animals, Dr. Ragozzino is an accomplished equestrian.

Dawn C.

Dawn grew up in Colonie and graduated from SUNY Delhi in 2004 with a degree in Veterinary Technology. Dawn has been a Licensed Veterinary Technician for the past 11 years, beginning her career right out of College. Dawn leads our surgical team and is an extremely skilled anesthesiologist. When Dawn is not in surgery, she particularly enjoys ultrasonography. Dawn and her husband live in Schoharie with their 3 fur kids; “Lily” a loveable Chihuahua, “Chet” their majestic Great Dane and “Charlotte” their silly Great Dane Mix.

Meaghan K.

Meaghan grew up in Colonie and graduated from Schenectady County Community College in 2005. For the past 10 years, Meaghan worked in the hospitality field as a corporate meeting and event coordinator. During her career she traveled the world and played a key role in the day to day office management of her Guilderland based business. Meaghan’s management and organizational skills, outgoing personality and passion for animals makes her a great fit as Office Manager and Client Care Coordinator of our new veterinary practice. Meaghan lives in Rotterdam with her Husband and the love of her life, their adopted Great Dane, “Zoe”. Meaghan is a proud dog “Mom” and enjoys bringing Zoe to work where she happily greets patients and their owners.

Rebecca M.

Rebecca graduated from SUNY Cobleskill in 2005 with an AAS in Animal Science. While working in the veterinary field, she earned a BT in Animal Science from SUNY Cobleskill and an additional AAS in Histotechnology in 2007. She took a break from the animal field to expand her histology knowledge as a Certified Clinical Laboratory Technician in human healthcare. However, she couldn't stay away from animals for long, returning to veterinary field as an equine surgical technician. Rebecca became credentialed as an LVT in 2012. Professional interests include orthopedics, oncology and hematology. She and her family spend most of their free time on the family farm with 40 plus beef cows and their energetic chocolate lab “Baileigh”.

Allison P.

Allison grew up in Rotterdam and has always had a true passion for animals, big and small. For the past 8 years, Allison has worked as a Veterinary Technician Assistant. At our new clinic, Allison can be found at the front desk, assisting during treatments along with caring for hospitalized patients. Allison enjoys working closely with the clients and their pets which is obvious to all by the way animals respond to her. Allison and her family live in Berne with her Pitbull’s “Ralph” and “Leo”, French Bulldog “Henry” and her 3 Cats “Vincent”, “Joseph Dirt” and “Minnie”. Allison recently became a Mother and enjoys spending time with her family.

Kelly P.

Kelly grew up in Rotterdam and knew from early on in life that she had an interest in working with animals. Kelly has taken on almost every role in the veterinary field and for the past 7 years has worked as a Veterinary Technician Assistant. Recently, Kelly completed her education at Penn Foster College and will be a Licensed Veterinary Technician in the very near future. Kelly plays a key role in our facility as Pharmaceutical coordinator. Her professional interests include diagnostics, dentistry and oral surgery. Kelly continues to live in Rotterdam with her Husband, twin daughters, her loving Golden Retriever “Cooper”, feisty Cat “Frankie” and two Rats named “Polly” and “Piper”.
